RubyForge: fireruby-project-status

Its been a while since I've visited the FireRuby project and in that time Firebird 2.0 has been released and I see that a number of bugs and requests have been posted.

Unfortunately I don't currently have the time to update and test the code for the new release or address the issues raised and I feel it only fair that I say this on the site.

I am still fielding questions about FireRuby for people that contact me directly but I cannot promise a serious commitment of time for any FireRuby work at this point. If time and commitments permit then I will revisit the library at a future date.

In the meantime it should not be forgotten that this is an open source library and you are free to take the sources and work with them.
